Description: WW1 (1915) ROYAL NAVY themed book of short stories entitled "NAVAL OCCASIONS" written by an anonymous and recently retired RN Officer using the pseudonym 'BARTIMEUS'. Features two handwritten inscriptions - the original owner's name which is dated 1915, and the other relating to a subsequent owner based at Royal Air Force Station Scampton giving his name and number. This latter inscription probably dates to around WW2. The book is in great condition with just a small area of damage along the spine (shown in photos). I am also selling the follow up book to this entitled "A TALL SHIP" in a separate listing.PLEASE NOTE - Following BREXIT, some items exported from the UK to EU countries may now incur import tariffs on arrival. This depends on the overall value of the item (or items) contained within the package. UK sellers are now required to display these details in the form of a Customs Declaration attached to the outside of the package. Such matters are beyond my control as the process is administered by the Customs Department of the destination country. With this in mind, please can all buyers from EU countries make themselves aware of how these changes may affect them when purchasing items from the UK. Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding.
