Description: VINTAGE CLAY SPONGE WARE POTTERY These three Vintage Sponge Ware Pottery Bowls represent an era we can only read about. This is where I show my definite ignorance of antiques. In researching the other kitchen ware I have listed, I truly believe these were manufactured before 1900. They look like the same vintage of a similar pitcher I sold that I could definitely date to the late 1800s, which is why I’m listing it as possibly from that era. They are definitely vintage from an era of long, long ago. They make a very nice addition for the collector of antique ware. They look old. They are old. They are blue and white on the exterior and have almost no discoloration and staining— except around the rim of each one. The inside of each bowl is white and each have very minimal discoloration. I do not see any chips anywhere on them. The largest bowl is 10” diameter and tapers down to 5.5” diameter. It is 5” tall. The medium bowl is 6.5” diameter and tapers down to 3.5” diameter. It is 3.5” tall. The smallest bowl is 5.5” diameter and tapers down to 3.5” diameter. It is 2.5” tall.
