Description: For sale here is a seldom encountered US Pre WW1 Post WW1 Civilian Conservation Corps Canteen With Cover & Etched Cup. The Cover is a J.Q.M.D. 1935 Mounted Type. It is missing the leather strap, but there is evidence of it being there. The cover has working Dot Pull snaps, but there is no belt hanger. The front has a good US stamping that has had an A added after it. The canteen is named to JOE up top and there are two blocked out spots that likely cover other names. The back has the previously mentioned maker and date. The cover has C.C.C. painted on it in red paint that shows wear and fading. There is also a square stamp that appears to say C.C.C. Conservation Camp Carson. The cup is is etched with an unknown shape or picture on the back. The handle is marked B136 and what appears to be M156. The cup is maker marked US A.G.M. Co. 1918. The cup shows use, age, wear, and darkening with a few dings. The canteen is also marked US AGM Co. 1918. It has a working lid that is complete with cork and chain. The canteen shows light wear, age, darkening, and a few minor dings. A nice and hard to find set. Please see my other eBay store at Cadencemilitaria2 for more great items.
