He died in Florida in 1977Frederic Oakley Spedden was a 1st Class passenger along with his family and servants sailing back to New York. He was rescued in lifeboat #3 along with his wife and son. He suffered a heart attack and died in the swimming pool at the family vacation home in Palm Beach, Florida in 1947.Robert Douglas Spedden was just 6 years old when he boarded the Titanic with his family as a 1st Class passenger. He escaped death in lifeboat #3. He was hit by a car and tragically died in Maine in 1915.Madeleine Talmage Astor Dick was the wife of millionaire JOHN JACOB ASTOR from New York. She was just 18 when she escaped death on that night in April 1912. Unfortunately her husband perished. She was rescued in lifeboat #4. She married 2x more befor her death in 1940 in Palm Beach, Florida at just 47 years old.Carrie Constance Toogood Chaffee was 47 when she boarded the Titanic as a 1st Class passenger. She was returning to her home with her husband to North Dakota after a European trip. She was rescued in lifeboat #4 but her husband was lost. She lived to the age of 66 and died in North Dakota in 1931.Ida Sophia Hippach was 44 when she departed Charbourg with her daughter as a 1st Class passenger. She lived the remainder of her life in Illinois and died in Chicago September 22, 1940 aged 72.Elizabeth Hocking was a 54 year old 2nd Class passenger. She was rescued in lifeboat #4. She lived briefly in Ohio until her untimely death in a streetcar accident on April 9, 1914.Philip Zenni aka Fahim Leeni boarded the Titanic as a 3rd Class passenger. He was rescued in lifeboat #6. He only lived to be 38 years old and died of Typhoid Fever in Ohio on Dec. 4, 1927.Helen Bishop boarded with her husband as a 19 year old 1st Class passenger. She was rescued in lifeboat #7 but tragically died of an epileptic seizure in Danville, Illinois in 1916. She was buried in Sturgis, Michigan.Dr Alice Farnham Leader boarded Titanic as a 1st Class passenger and was rescued by lifeboat #8. She continued her work as a physician after the incident and died in Orlando, Florida near family on April 20, 1944.Ole Abelseth was a 3rd Class passenger. Rescued in lifeboat A. After surviving the disaster he was a farmer in North Dakota and died there on Dec. 4, 1980. (Born in Norway)Elisabeth Walton Robert was 43 when she boarded the Titanic returning to home in St. Louis with her daughter, neice and maid. She was rescued in lifeboat #2. She lived the remainder of her life in St. Louis and died Jan. 15, 1956 of at the ripe age of 87.John Pillsbury Snyder was returning home from his honeymoon with his wife Nelle. Both rescued in lifeboat #7 they went on to live long lives. John died in 1959 while playing golf at Woodhill Golf Course in Orono Township, Minnesota.Nelle Snyder, wife of John Snyder, was rescued in lifeboat #7. She died of heart failure in Minnesota on Dec. 9, 1983 at the ripe age of 94!William Ernest Carter was a 1st Class passenger who was rescued in lifeboat collapsible C. A very wealthy man he had both his car and dogs on board the Titanic. He died Mar. 20, 1940.Catherine Elizabeth Crosby, a resident of Milwaukee, Wisconsin boarded at Southhampton with her husband and daughter. She was called to testify at the U.S. Senate Hearings on the Titanic disaster. She died in Wisconsin on Jul. 29, 1920 at the age of 72.Mary (Mollie) Hitchcock Wick boarded as a 1st Class passenger in Southhampton. She was a wealthy Ohioan whose family owned ironworks in Youngstown and was married to George Dennick. She was rescued in lifeboat #8. Her husband was lost in the disaster.She died Jan. 30, 1920 in Ohio at just 53 yrs. old.Clara Frauenthal, was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on Dec. 1, 1869, the daughter of David Heinsheimer and Natalie Loeb who were both German immigrants. On April 10 1912 Mrs Frauenthal boarded the Titanic at Southampton as a 1st class passenger, together with her husband of just two weeks Henry William Frauenthal, a New York physician. All three survived the sinking, they were rescued in lifeboat 5. Clare suffered from mental illness in later years. She passed away in Connecticut.Jennie Louise Hansen (Emerson) boarded the Titanic at Southampton as a 3rd Class passenger. She was rescued in lifeboat #11 and went on to live to be 85 years old, passing on Dec. 15, 1952 in Wisconsin.Karl Albert Midtsjo rescued in lifeboat #15. He was just 21 years old at the time of the disaster. He died on Jan. 25, 1939 in Maywood, Illinois.Frank John William Goldsmith was just 9 years old when the Titanic went down. He was rescued along with his mother in collapsible D. He moved to Florida late in life and died on Jan. 27, 1982 at the age of 79.Alden Gates Caldwell was born on June 10, 1911 and was just 10 months old when he boarded the Titanic with his parents as 2nd Class passengers. He went on to become a chemical engineer and died in Florida on Dec. 18, 1992.Joan Wells was just 4 years old when she boarded Titanic. She was rescued in lifeboat 14. She lived the remainder of her life in Akron, Ohio.Phillipp E. Mock was rescued in lifeboat 11. He died in 1951 in Florida.Bertha Lehmann Luhrs was just 17 years old at the time of the disaster. He worked as a crew member aboard Titanic and helped save many lives. He was rescued in lifeboat 1. He continued with the White Star Line until 1913 when he moved to Gary, Indiana where he worked as a factory worker and later painter/carpenter. He died in Texas on April 7, 1962 at the age of 83.Eloise Hughes Smith boarded at Southhampton. She was rescued in lifeboat 6. She died in Ohio on May 3, 1940 at the age of just 46Caroline Bonnell-Jones was born in Chicago in 1882 and boarded Titanic as a 1st Class passenger. When the ship went down she escaped in lifeboat #8. She died in Ohio on March 13, 1950 aged 67 years.Mary E. Davison-Godwin (Fink) boarded as a 3rd Class passenger at Southampton. She survived the sinking and lived later in life in Cleveland, Ohio where she died on March 26, 1939.Oscar Hedman boarded at Southampton and survived by grabbing onto lifeboat #15. He lived most of the remainder of his life in South Dakota practicing as a chiropractor. He died on July 28, 1961.Adele Nasser (Achem/Hakim) was of Lebanese descent and just 14 years old when she boarded from Cherbourg as a 2nd Class passenger with her husband. She survived but her husband did not. She remarried to Albert Shamaley. Adele Shamaley died in El Paso, Texas on January 20, 1970.Jenny George (Shawneene Whabee) was born in Lebanon in 1872 and boarded Titanic at the age of 38 with her male cousins as 3rd Class passengers at Cherbourg. (All 3 cousins perished) Jenny survived and died at the age of 75 in Ohio.Meier Moor was born in Russia and travelled on Titanic as a 3rd Class passenger with his mother. He was just 6 years old. He survived the disaster and died of old age in 1974.Carlos Hurd was the reporter for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch newspaper who was on holiday with his wife aboard the Carpathia that fateful night of April 14, 1912 when the Titanic sank. Hurd scooped the world with his account of the disaster. Working under horrible conditions and overcoming every conceivable roadblock, his story, written on a roll of toilet paper, became one of the stories of the century.
