Description: Backstamp dates to circa 1925. Almost an antique! Yellow plate with cornflowers, embossed edge and gold rim. From a Haviland expert: 'The Theodore Haviland whiteware blank is catalogued as Schleiger 301. After examining the images of the floral design, it appears to have been hand painted by a hobbyist. Theodore Haviland used transfers (decals) almost exclusively for their designs. There were occasional hand painted additions to those transfers. China painting, done mostly by hobbyists, was a very popular pastime in the late19th/early 20th centuries. Your plate seems to fit that designation, so there would be no pattern name, and most likely the plate design would be unique." Measures approximately 7 1/2 x 7 1/2 J12092022Weight 9 ounces
