Description: This is a very rare pattern from the 1930s, or possibly very early 1940s, by Hollywood sewing Patterns. The number is 1658 Pattern of Youth featuring Eleanore Whitney. (She had a very successful career, then married and made her last film in 1938. She never acted after moving to New York with her new husband. ) The size is a 16 Bust 34 Hip 37 The pattern describes the dress as a: “One-piece frock with deep shirrings at the waist, and blouse fullness concentrated in cluster shirrings on the shoulders. It has a shirt collar and two styles of sleeves, short fitted sleeve and long bishop style. “ These were considered Tea Dresses. I have checked to see if all the pieces for the dresses are included and it is complete. (What a job as it has to be done so carefully as the paper is fragile. There is one pattern piece that has a tear in it. I took a picture of it. The instructions are included. The envelope has some issues, such as yellowed from age, brown spots and some tears in the envelope, especially in the corners. Generally is very good condition for an 80 to almost 90 year old sewing pattern! Please see all of my pictures and ask me any questions that you might have. Always open to offers. Thank you for looking.
