Description: Up for sale is a lovely example of what a tanker would have worn his Colt 1911 during WW2. These holsters are not very common as there were only so many tankers. However this holster is even rarer compounded by the fact that it is made by the Enger-Kress firm. This example has a ton of writing carved into it by the GI who wore it. I can make out one set of initials “MC” as well as “S-24”, there is something else faintly written under the maker mark but I cannot make it out. Overall excellent condition on this piece, leather is still very soft and pliable. Please look over all the pictures carefully to judge the item for yourself.
