Description: These five Tirschenreuth Bavaria Pansy dinner plates are in good condition with some signs of normal light use. There are no chips or cracks, but there has been some loss of the gold trim on the rims. There also are some light utensil marks on the eating surfaces. I also noticed some very minor manufacturing defects such as a few tiny spots of paint (brown like the plant stems) under the glaze. These plates are each stamped to indicate that they were manufactured in the U.S. Zone, that is, during the time that Germany was divided after the second world war, so they could have been manufactured later than in the 1940's. This pattern is called "Pansy" by Tirschenreuth, and it features pansy blossoms, leaves, and stems on a cream background. The total weight of these five dinner plates is 4 1/2 pounds.
