All of Milwaukee Iron Restoration’s cookware is restored using the safest methods possible. Every piece of cast iron starts out with a lye bath. This will remove all of the old seasoning and crud from years of buildup. The next step is a day or two in one of our electrolysis tanks. This process removes any rust and remaining debris down to the molecular level of the iron (SCIENCE!!!). After this, each piece is scrubbed clean and the seasoning process is started. Each piece is seasoned a minimum of three times using grape seed oil. Grape seed oil gives a nice black finish that last for years. Each piece is left with the best nonstick coating on planet earth.
