Heat treated, black oxide finished steel construction. Heat treated chrome-molybdenium steel hooks. Smooth threading action for safe, quick compression.Precision machined steel bolts. Use any 7/8" hand socket, impact socket, or wrench.Remove coil springs to replace or repair shock absorbers, spring set struts, etc..Permits quick and safe removal or installation of springs. How To Use: Remove strut from inside of spring. Thread arms on spring compressor to opposite ends of shaft to accomodate full length of spring. Fold arms against threaded shaft of spring. Spread arms so hooks engage top and bottom rungs of spring. Be sure hooks are securely engaged. Turn nut applying compression to spring. Tighten until spring is free of spring seats. Generally not more than 3" required. Spring can now be removed. Caution: Compressed springs are under tension, always maintain firm footing on level ground.
