Description: Here is a nice Hand Carved Antique Style Eskimo Curlew Shore Bird Decoy carved by my myself (Sam McKamie). It is carved with pocket knife and rasp from cedar after I did the initial sawing and drilling. This beach bird is of one piece construction with a hardwood bill, tack eyes, and the wings are relief carved and elevated and split at the tail as shown in the pictures. This beach bird is painted in a gunning style like those decoys of old. Stand is included. This bird measures 12 inches long from the tip of the tail to tip of the bill, 11 1/2 inches tall, and from 1 1/2 inch stock. It will make a fine addition to any collection.
