Measures 3 ½” tall by 5” long and 3½” wide at the base, this finely cast, 19th century Bronze Sculpture is signed on the base by the French sculptor, Emmanuel Fremiet (1824-1910). This lovely sculpture depicts a mother cat with her kitten tucked under her legs while she contemplates a ball of yarn on the floor in front of her. One of the cat's ears has a small imperfection that looks as if a small piece may have been broken off. This is shown clearly in the pictures.
