While the Traditional English Madder (or Ancient Madder) is the oldest & most common variety, we chose Italian Madder for these ties. Traditional English Madder is exclusively printed on Silk Twill and gives the silk a more "chalky" feel, while our Italian Madder uses a Schappe Silk (known for an incredibly soft feel) with a Saglione Weave for added texture. The silk is hand-printed by a specialist, leaving behind a deep and rich print. While Italy & England are the most famous makers of ties, we produce our absolute finest in Poland.
