Description: For sale is a vintage French carved rosary (most likely carved bovine) with a Stanhope crucifix.When stretched out, this measures approx. 19 1/2" long and the crucifix is 1 1/2" high.Note: The image in the Stanhope is not centered so it is difficult to see. You look into the side of the crucifixwhere the metal is protruding out more. You have to hold the crucifix upside down so the image is right-side up and then peer into the lens, and then move the crucifix around until you see the images. You can see 3 images, but only one of the images can be seen completely. The 3 images are: "SOUVENIR DE ROC AMADOUR", "ST. AMADOUR", and "N.D. DE ROC AMADOR" which translates to "Our Lady of Roc Amadour." This item is antique and has a lot of age and wear and imperfections in the beads and chain.
