The design features an image of a cropped American flag rippling in the wind. Two different printers were used and the stamps have differences in perf. gauge and microprinting. The locations are indicated with red arrows and magnified above. At the time of issue Forever was nondenominated (49c). Forty Nine cents met the USPS First Class 1 oz domestic letter rate until it was briefly reduced to 47c April 10, 2016. The First Class letter rate then returned to 49c Jan 22, 2017.
