This set is Catalogued as JRM 24 in the Japanese Baseball Card Catalog. They are called 'Math in Circle' because of the design on front. Toshio Kawanishi 河西Kawanishi played from 1946-1955 He had a .258 career average with 11 HRs. He had 233 stolen bases with 66 then 53 as single season highs. & Tadayoshi Kajioka 忠義 梶岡 Kajioka won over 100 games in Nippon Pro Baseball. Kajioka was his team's cleanup hitter and ace pitcher in college. He made his pro debut with the 1947 Osaka Tigers, going 22-8 with a 1.92 ERA. He finished 6th in the Japanese Professional Baseball League in ERA. In 1948, he had a 26-17, 2.54 record and was 10th in ERA. On August 28, he threw a no-hitter against the Nankai Hawks. The Osaka native had a big year in 1952 at 21-8, 1.71 ERA. He won his 100th career game, made his only Central League All-Star team and led the CL in ERA. Overall, Kajioka was 131-85 with a 2.80 ERA in 299 games in NPB. light to average wear, collector grade. 1-7/8" wide ea.
