Description: Here's an early blue spongeware covered sugar bowl from the 1840s.......pretty blue sponge decoration around the bowl and matching lid....3"tall (4"with lid).....3 7/8"across rim....hollow footed base....Original matching lid has applied flower finial top which was broken off and reglued with solder on top inside of lid. The bowl has had a small piece reglued back on rim which is hard to see. Displays nice....
